SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to your community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The company position established for intervention ordeals a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to allow the servicing of all prospects and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
